Day-rate calculator
Put in your rate card and a trip. See the invoice it produces and what a year of it adds up to. Nothing is saved unless you want it to be.
How to use it
Pick the aircraft category and seat; the rate fields fill with typical US starting points for 2026 that you should overwrite with your own numbers. Enter the trip: duty days are the days you were on the airplane or on duty for it, travel days are airline positioning, overnights are hotel nights. Reimbursables are pass-through at cost. The preview on the right is the invoice n1099 would draft from that rate card for that trip.
The annualized figure multiplies your day rate and per diem by billable days per year. Most full-time contract pilots bill between 90 and 150 days; be honest about yours. For a method for setting the rate itself, read what contract pilots actually charge in 2026.
The hints are placeholders drawn from conversations with working pilots, not a survey and not advice. Your type rating, experience, region and the owner’s notice set the real number.
