Built by people who have chased invoices

An N-number for the airplane. A 1099 for the pilot. n1099 is the paperwork in between, handled.

Contract flying is a good living and a bad business. You fly a Challenger to Palm Beach for an owner you like, sleep in a hotel you paid for, come home, and then the job starts: a Word template with last month’s dates still in it, a PDF emailed to a flight department that is three people and a shared inbox, and a text two weeks later that begins with “Hey, sorry to bother you.”

We built n1099 because we got tired of that text. The idea is narrow on purpose: one record per trip, the right rate card attached, an invoice that looks like it came from a company, a link the owner can approve from their phone, and a ledger that tells you who owes you what without a spreadsheet.

What we believe

  • Your client list is your career. Nothing about it should be visible to anyone you did not choose.
  • The pilot side is free. A pilot billing four owners a month should not pay a software company to get paid.
  • Owners should not need an account to do the right thing. Approving an invoice should take one tap.
  • We are not a staffing agency. No directory, no “verified” badges, no operational control. No directory, no “verified” badges, no operational control.

Where we are

n1099 launched in October 2026. It is being built with the first hundred contract pilots who sign up, and the first ten flight departments that receive an invoice through it. Their feedback sets the roadmap. If you are one of them, you will hear from us directly, and we will listen.

Say hello

We read every message. hello@n1099.com for anything, support@n1099.com when something is broken, and security@n1099.com if you found a hole. More on the contact page.

Join the first hundred.

Free for pilots. Your feedback shapes what we build next.
